Artist Statement

This book is the sixth in the Gymnopaedie series, which has become my occasional space for experimentation and trust in process. I edition layers of images and words without knowing where I’m going; watching and responding to what occurs in each press run.

And like throwing I Ching, this captures the moment I am living in. In the midst of working on this book I discovered R. Waldo Emerson’s words on the importance of flow, flux and change, which provided a surprisingly perfect grounding to this project.
